Obituary of Willard Orr

Willard John Orr passed peacefully in his sleep at the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Saturday April 13, 2024 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Phyllis (Kees) Orr. Willard was the much loved father of Jeffrey Craig Orr and Cynthia Lynn (Orr) Trainer, and the proud grandfather of Ryan Garric Orr and Emily Krista Orr. 

Friends and family are invited visit Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at 10 a.m. until the time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Following the service for Willard, Cynthia and Jeff invite friends, neighbours and family to gather for a reception at the Golden Age Club on 122 Bond Street. Inurnment will then follow at Riverfield Cemetery, Rang des Écossais, Howick, QC where Willard will be laid to rest next to Phyllis.  Friends and family wishing to say a few words are most welcomed. A reception will follow after at the Riverfield Curling Club next door. Willard’s favourite colour was red so please feel free to wear red.

Donations to the Hawkebury General Hospital Foundation and the Canadian Diabetes Association in memory of Willard would be gratefully appreciated.

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest in Vankleek Hill.
